I couldn’t get a pin or pencil through the hole to mark the drill spot. We ended up just using painters tape, then measuring where to drill, marking it, and checking it with a small level. We used this on the cabinets. **Q: I have large pulls with dimensions 6.25" and 8.75". Can I use this jig to install these?** A: I installed 4.75 pulls no problem at all. I don't see why you wouldn't be Able to install yours. It's over all 12 inches as I remember. Going from the center point you'd be able to go up to about 11inch handles. **Q: Can I use a smaller drill bit than a 5mm? My screws seem too small for a 5 mm hole** A: Mine came with 3,4,and 5 mm drill bits. With the smaller bit just take care to center it in the jig holes. **Q: Can you get a wider main ruler? I do work drawers that are usually 24 inches wide** A: Not b be necessary. I had minimal expectations for it's quality due to it being very inexpensive. Takes a minute to figure out how to set it up for the different type of cabinet doors and drawers. Flat front doors are of course very easy. It is not of high quality in terms of construction nor accuracy (accuracy... because of its construction), but it was very cheap in price, so what do you expect. Overall it worked and came in handy and hastened the installation of 36 handles/knobs on different size cabinet doors and drawers. The tool flexes a bit when trying to firmly hold in place while drilling so care is needed to make sure you do not move the tool. So, yes it did as advertise and was commensurate with its price.
