**Q: What is the gauge of these rods?**
A: High temp 11 gauge

**Q: Is this wire hard to cut?**
A: No, we used regular side cutting pliers. Just any that you have in a tool box or from a local hardware store. I wouldn't use scissors though it might dull them.

**Q: If I'm firing to cone 05 (roughly 1888°) will the wire bend if it is holding a bisqued piece that weighs up to 1/2 pound?**
A: I can’t answer that correctly. I was firing Raku at the time. But as you know raku temperature can fluctuate.

**Q: Can I use it to make a lightsaber?**
A: Sorry I have no idea what your heat source would be.

I expected them to be a little more bendable, but still a good product so far.  I haven’t put them in my kiln yet to see how they respond to heat.

This works great for kiln fired glass plant stakes.  The wire turns dark during firing but is easily cleaned with steel wool.  Holds the weight of the glass well--sturdy and straight.

Fired this to cone 6 electric and it did alright with my light weight pendants. Wire was warped and charred but with careful planning on my part did it's job. Definitely only good for a single firing but until I find something else it will do.
