They are made with real cedar wood, and have a cedar aroma. It is such a lovely scent! **Q: Does it catch the water. Looks like it would drip off and destroy the table.** A: Does not drip off unless the drink is super wet even then just be careful when lifting up your drink so droplets from the coaster don't fall on the table etc my advice to let the water fully dry on the coaster before moving the coaster in any way **Q: Are these coasters absorbent?** A: Yes! The cedar wood will absorb any condensation from your drinks so your tables stay dry and protected! **Q: How clean the oil residue? Does the oil return? Everything we have is wood and leather that we wouldnt want stained.** A: We have not experienced any type of oil residue. We are using them on our wood furniture and have not seen any staining. We love the look of them. They provide tiny stick-on pads for the bottoms (place on corners).
