They have smooth bottoms. I don't know what the 1.5 gallon jars are... **Q: Are these seals heavy and will it keep cereal from going stale?** A: They are very heavy, actually bigger than I originally thought. I don't use them for cereal but for coffee grounds instead. It keeps my coffee fresh for 2 weeks but then starts getting weaker. If you are worried about young kids lifting them, get something else but other than that they are really good. The seal works well compared to others. But actual cereal holders work better. Hope this helps! **Q: Do these contain lead?** A: These jars are wonderful for food containers. One of the reasons they are so nice is, not only because you can see what’s in each of them since they are glass, but, also, the fact that they state they are BPA free, and non-toxic. Also, if you Google the jars, you will find that they also advertise them as lead free on multiple sites. ## Frequently Bought Together - Daitouge 1.5 Gallon Glass Canister, 2 Pack Cookie Jar & Candy Jar with Airtight Lid, Heavy Duty Glass Canisters for Kitchen, Suitable for Flour, Sugar, Rice, Pasta, Beans, Laundry Room Storage - KooK Glass Storage Containers with Lids, 1/2 Gallon, Set of 2, Glass Kitchen Jars, Food & Cookie Storage Containers for Pantry, Bathroom Apothecary Canisters, Dishwasher Safe, Chalk, Label, Scoops - 1 Gallon Glass Cookie Jars + Labels & Marker - Set of 2 Canister Sets for Kitchen Counter with Airtight Lids, Sugar Packet Holders Food Storage Containers with Lids Airtight for Pantry, Flour, Sugar, --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/318668116-1-5-gallon-glass-canister-2-pack-cookie-jar-candy](https://www.desertcart.us/products/318668116-1-5-gallon-glass-canister-2-pack-cookie-jar-candy) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
