Worked like a charm and was VERY easy to clean!! It ground it all into a nice patte and the cats love it!

**Q: What is the rated horse power on this meat grinder**
A: Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International Turboforce II Electric Meat Grinder. This grinder runs (under no load) at 600 Watts and runs between 600 Watts and 1200 Watts (under load). The peak output power of this product is 3000 Watts and the mathematical equation for conversion of Watts into HP is 1HP = 746 Watts. 3000 Watts divided by 746 equals over a 4 HP "Rating", but please note that this grinder does NOT have a 4 HP motor in it. This is a "RATING ONLY" and is not to be confused with the motors that come in Commercial/Industrial Meat Grinders that have actual 1 HP to sometimes 1.5 HP motors in them. The actual HP of the motor in this grinder is just under 3/4 HP.

**Q: Can you grind raw chicken bones with this machine?**
A: Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International Turboforce II Electric Meat Grinder.  Yes, this grinder can handle SOFT bones such as chicken, squirrel, quail and rabbit. Hard bones, such as beef, pork, and turkey, are NOT able to be processed by this grinder. Bones must be incorporated with meat and will not grind by themselves.

**Q: What is the HP rating on this grinder**
A: There was an earlier post from STX saying it has a 3/4 hp motor in it.

**Q: Is it air cooled ?**
A: Not sure what you mean by air-cooled…there’s an internal fan on the motor….we’ve done 5 deer thru it so far & it works great!

When I got it I was a little worried because it was so light. The book called for almost frozen meat. My first batch was frozen but flexible and it bogged down a few times but always powered through. The second batch was thawed on the outside but frozen in the middle and did much better. The auger never really grabbed the meat and pulled it in like some other grinders I have used Leading to a lot of work pushing everything through. It does go together pretty easily and cleanup was as easy as you could expect. The grind was pretty good as well and the assortment of heads was nice. I did 6lbs of pork and it was a bit of an ordeal. I would not want to do a high volume of meat through this This is more a kitchen gadget than a processing tool but it's way better than my kitchenaid grinder attachment. For the price I feel like I got what I paid for and for my needs it will do fine.
