Once you get your trench dug per the instructions, take a piece of wood you've got laying around (1x4 or something), lay it flat on top of the edging, and hammer it down with a rubber mallet. This helps get it even, and prevents you bending the metal too. I love how this looks and I'll be buying more to edge around my tree and other flower beds. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do not buy!! *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States on 11 June 2021* Horrible!! Even with doing all the little tricks to make this item work it is just not sturdy or easy to work with. The edging itself looks fabulous and such a rustic wonderful idea. But, it is NOT!! I guess you get what you pay for.
