**Q: What makes the Pro salt water friendly and the Gold not...?**
A: The higher frequency of the AT Gold increases its sensitivity to smaller objects. Because of this , it does not perform as well in wet salt mineralization.

**Q: Can i put the bigger head of the at pro on this (gold model) and then use it for salt water?**
A: No, the coil is not what allows the device to go in salt water. The bigger coil from the pro does work but it does not allow the at gold to read in salt water accurately.
