Review: Would reccomend for anyone from very weak to strong and healthy - First off, let me tell you that I tried one of those cheapies, the folding kind, and if you want to waste your time and money, go ahead and get one. I cant even open a bottlecap right now, and the folding ones werent enough force for me to get stronger on. I returned it, and got this one instead. And, WOW, what a difference! The good: Putting it together is easy easy (except I needed help, but I am a special case right now, with no strength). 4 bolts, and 2 pedals, and 2 batteries (and 2 foot straps). All of it went together super easy (I am using it for purely tabletop right now, so am not using the straps). I set it at 1, and there is no resistence. I set it at 2, and I feel a workout in just a couple minutes (all I can stand right now. I have had neck surgery on 2 disks, and 3x on lower back, and my muscles are so weak I cant do much, which is why I bought this: To get stronger). My wife tried it on 8, and it was hard for her, and she is strong, so once I get to going up in resistance, I know it will be good forever for me The Pedals are awesome, and have finger shapes on one side of them, and palm shape on the other side, so that they dont hurt like those cheapy folding ones did. There are no sharp edges on the Pedals at all, or anywhere near them. The Display actually works (unlike the folding one I had), and it starts up as soon as you start peddling. You can have it keep your progress from every workout by just leaving it alone after your workout, or you can reset it by holding in the big red button. Perfect for me, as I like it reset every day, but dont remember what I did the day before-I can start peddling to see what my time and distance was, then hold red button to reset and see if I can beat my time and distance (although I have only had it a couple days, I have already done this this afternoon when I worked out). My wife bought some of that non-slip stuff for the tabletop (the stuff that mechanics put in their drawers so tools dont slide around, or for kitchen drawers were you dont want stuff sliding around, same stuff), so the Minibike doesnt slide at all. Also, my wife says it is heavy enough to not slide anyway, but was easy-ish for her to move around. I have not had any sounds from the unit, it is entirely silent. It does not heat up like the folding one did. The bad (or, not so good, really, there is nothing really bad on the unit I got): It smells. And, I mean, it smells BAD! It smells like a dirty locker room. It smells like an entire football team stood above it after practice and sweated all over it. A little cleaner and a rag should sort out the smell though. I am sure this is an assembly line piece, that someone actually did sweat on, or multiple someones sweat all over. Pee-yoo The distance to the pedals is more than the cheapy folding ones was. This hurts my neck more, and rolls my shoulders forward a bit to be able to reach it (and I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and the Minicycle is at the very edge of the table). I hope this wont be a problem for me in the long run. I may have to buy the arm things, like they have at the Physical Therapy place, so that it will be closer to me and I wont have to strain and hurt myself (remember, I am in bad bad physical shape, very very weak, and even just sitting hurts me, so if you arent as bad off as I am then you should not have any issues).
Review: Works great...glad I bought it!! - I was excited to get this in the mail! It was easy to put together and I have arthritis in my hands as well as poor strength (not many steps were needed to put together and it cam with tools). I live a sedentary lifestyle and I was wanting to be more active, but start gradually. I experience random knee pains, muscle fatigue in legs, hip pain, and othe msculoskeletal problems. I use this cycle 3-4 times a week sometimes more and it has helped me with my mobility as well as reduce joint pains and muscle fatigue. After reading all of the good reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I had planned on buying a $20-$30 cycle, but found low ratings and poor quality. So this is the one I went with and I am so glad I did. This cycle does not slide like many have commented on. I use it on carpeted floors, but I don't keep it on high resistance...usually 2-3 setting. This cycle is a bit on the heavy side, but it is easily transported by the convenient handle. I started out using the bike on "2" and it was very fluid without any problems. The readout is easy to read ( although I wish it had a light to read at night or in darker areas). It is extremely quiet!! I don't use the feet straps, but my feet do not slip at all. I have no other cycles to compare this item to other than the stationary vertical and horizontal bikes I have had in the past. This bike by far surpasses those other bikes because it doesn't irritate my groin area or put my back in an awkward position and cause back pain and fatigue. My only problem is finding a "comfortable" chair to use this with. For now I simply have a folding chair and that works fine and supports my spine. I would rather use a recliner, but that would probably not be good for my back because I use the cycle for 30-60 minutes at a time...usually while watching tv or taking a break from housework. If you are in search of a quality lower body floor cycle, this is a great investment

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Daily use for 31 months and still going strong!
*by C***. on March 11, 2018*

The device was simple enough to assemble. All that was needed was to attach the two feet, the pedals, and install the batteries into the digital display unit. The tools needed are provided in the box. The weight of the unit and the length of the feet make it stable. I do not foresee this thing tipping over. I bought this brand for the built in carry handle. The handle is definitely useful. The unit is not too heavy to move from place to place, but it would be awkward to move the device without the handle. What took much longer than the assembly was finding a way to rig up a system to tether the device to my TV chair. Within seconds the pedaling action pushed the bike too far from the chair. In the garage I located a very long Velcro strap. I attached one end around the left leg of the chair using the plastic loop on the strap. I then passed the strap under the shorter bar and toward the right chair leg. I needed an additional Velcro strap to extend the length sufficiently enough to finish the job. Now I can pedal while keeping the device in place. It has been only two days, but it is very quiet. Time will tell if that will change. Pedaling while sitting in my comfy TV chair with only my slippers on my feet makes for a wonderful recumbent bike experience. I am not using this as a replacement for my daily treadmill exercise. I bought this devise in keeping with my philosophy that moving is better than not moving. With this pedal exerciser reading and watching TV are no longer the sedentary activities they once were. Update: It has been ten months and my Sunny and I are still going strong. I started my weight loss journey six months before I made this purchase. I already had a treadmill, but purchased this pedal exerciser, a step platform, dumbbells, resistance bands, and even a weight hula hoop all from Amazon. I gave up my gym membership eleven months ago and complete all my exercises at home. I have lost over 115 pounds. This pedal exerciser is an important component of my exercise routine. Let’s face it- devices like this won’t last forever. I feel as though I have already gotten my money’s worth. When it dies I will buy another one. Update #2 (November 15, 2020): I decided to update today since the Sunny started making a clicking noise. A bit of WD 40 where the pedals attach to the unit and I am all set. Silent pedaling once again. I lost my goal of 130 pounds and have been maintaining for 18 months now. I use my pedal exerciser as part of my variety of mini exercise sessions. I would say it gets used a minimum of 40 minutes a day, every day. I love this piece of exercise equipment just as much as the day I got it. And I say again- when it goes I will buy another.
