Came well packed in a hard sided plastic carry box. Magnet is not too heavy so an average size person or young adult, can really get some distance throwing it. Gloves and thread locker are a nice bonus as well. I recommend the set to someone new to magnet fishing or even as a backup set. The reason why I say beginner is because the magnets capacity is rated around 1,000 lbs. and some ppl like to use heavier magnets for bigger catches.
