Review: Great purchase! - This mermaid is so cute! The back has scales and hair also (the color is only on the front, though)! I was expecting just a flat silver back and was surprised to see the details on the back as well! I bought this for my daughter to give her an extra boost of confidence as a good luck charm and it seemed to work (she's 10). Unfortunately she lost it and was extremely upset so I am purchasing a replacement. It is small, I would estimate about an inch and a half. The tail and the hand meet to create a circle you could use to run a necklace, thread, safety pin, etc., through to secure it to something else so that it can be taken places.**Update- we received the new one and it seems that the blue on the tail isn't as bright as on the first one, so each one may be a little different. It's still cute and I would recommend
