Even if I would preheat the towels then place them in there.** A: The mini is about the size of a Lean Cuisine, so it would only hold a couple of hands towels. It heats food to 165 degrees so the towels sold be pretty hot. Hope this helps! **Q: If you buy the car adapter does the car need to be on for it to heat?** A: A 12-volt 300 watt inverter model is enough to power the HotLogic device through one of the car power plugs, and the engine doesn't need to be running. However, the downside is that your frozen meal still takes about 90 min. to heat and that produces a drain on the car battery. With bigger batteries and daily engine operation, this probably isn't an issue, but smaller ones is questionable. The thing to do is heat the meal in transit if possible; then unplug the inverter when the car is off. These are power management issues and they vary by vehicle, but heating the meal in transit is a safe bet. Another way is to buy a 'portable backup power' unit like a Powerpack 600 (www.xantrex.com), which has a built-in inverter and 'wall plugs' for your 120 volt device; BUT it also has a 12 volt accessory cable and can charge from the car while you drive, store power, and deliver 120 volt power to your laptop or HotLogic or other low wattage electronics. This way you can cook your meal when the car is off, and not run down the car battery. **Q: Can you buy additional storage containers?** A: It's just a lunch box with a hot plate in it. I bought this and it works perfectly. He can heat up all kinds of frozen meals right in the cardboard box they come in or meals that I cook for him that are just in plastic containers. The frozen meals take about 2 hours but he just plugs it in afew hours before he wants to eat and it stays warm if he isn't ready to eat it. Does not overcook things. Its great because you can use any make of container in it, whether its glass or plastic, cardboard or foil. He hasn't cooked anything in it yet that wasn't already cooked except eggs which works really well too.
