Review: Nice product - Strap was long for my foot size 11.
Review: Toe loop is not for everyone - I am lucky. I have arches - not low arches, nor high arches. This makes the toe loop version of this sandal fine for my purposes. If you have low arches, the chaco classic has a pronounced arch support and has been reported as painful by those with low arches. Meanwhile, high arches can be punished by the toe loop - this feature adds much-needed stability when walking down steep inclines or in wet conditions, but has been noted to "strangle" the toe after a time. This is not too bad unless you have high arches - the arch support is ideal, but the toe loop has been reported to tighten much more quickly. For high arch individuals who want to try out chacos, the Z1 is your better bet. Same sandal, no toe loop. For low arch, something the a Bedrock Cairn Evo or Teva Original might be more what you need. If in doubt, a podiatrist should be consulted. I'm some random internet guy and I'm serving hot opinions, not medical advice. I love this sandal, though. It feels so supportive and resilient. I have put miles into it and had few of the issues people talk about when first using this sandal. That is because I wore them slowly, building up to a walk after a week of wearing them at home and in the yard. These are major hiking boot soles with straps and absolutely no insoles to cushion them - they need a little time to soften up and there is no padding or other material to hide this fact. Do not buy these days before you go hiking in them. Your feet won't be ready (unless you already use Chacos) and the sandals won't be ready. Assuming you take the softly, softly approach to ramping up, these are sandals that you can spend the entire day walking. They are grippy, airy, quick-drying, and generally comfortable. I love them and I am a Chaco convert.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What makes it a "sports" sandal?**
A: I live in Idaho and our rivers here are known for river rafting and kayak adventures, and I would call this a water sport in our area. These sandals are terrific for water, sand, and give the traction and stability to climb the rocky areas that surround our rivers. The Z2 sandal is my favorite because the toe strap stabilizes the forefoot. The Z2 as well as the Z1 have aheel cup and strapes on either side also. My daughter, while attending college became involved in river rafting with friends, and introduced me to my first Chacos. That was almost 20 years ago. I have worn them ever since. I've had many rewebbed some resoled and I must have at least 10 pair. I am a cancer survivor and suffer from neuropathy in my feet from chemo. Shoes drive me crazy, Chacos are my foot gear of choice. Hope this will give others an opportunity to try these great sandals. Sheri

**Q: Does anyone know how to adjust the strap that goes around your heel? I cam adjust everything else beside it and its frustrating. Thinking about return**
A: I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the heel strap, in conjunction with the sole itself and the big toe position, is what determines the size of the sandal. Therefore you likely need a different size than what you ordered. Hope that helps!

**Q: Can these sandals be used for kayaking ?**
A: Yes . They are very durable. . i feel they are little heavy n takes time to get used to them .

**Q: What is the difference between e and ee? is one wide and one extra wide?**
A: For these I have a pair of 11 wide and works fairly well. I have a extra wide 3e to 4e feet. So finding things that functional is tough for sandals and even for work.
