Oofos flip-flops/sandals do just that. When I first tried them on and walked around in my house…WOW!!! I’m a very fit muscular guy (5’5”, 152lbs) having lived over half a century now but I also have had severe rheumatoid arthritis since a kid with both hips and both shoulders replaced and both wrists reconstructed all within the last 7 years. Although my artificial hips are doing great, my gate has been inefficient, unbalanced, and just “off” since I received my bilateral hips…but these Oofos sandals with their patented footbed have literally changed my gate back to an anatomically fluid and balanced motion again as well as promoting a forward inertia as I walk. They don’t merely have a pronounced arch either; it’s the entire footbed that feels so good as you walk. There must be some serious podiatric science in the design of Oofos shoes and it’s footbed because I can literally feel the engineered purpose in them when I take them on a walk. (Actually, they take ME on a walk!) These aren’t shoes to simply protect your feet; they’re designed to promote a better walking gate and overall posture. Also, the footbed surface stays with your foot…they don't necessarily stick to the bottom of your feet but they don’t slide around under your feet, either.
