It did take a few times to get the steps correct but even then it wasn't more than a 5-10 min thing to do. You are directed to a website and have to follow a detailed set of instructions to get it programmed, but I'm happy that I was able to save so much money by not going through the dealer. If the first set of instructions doesn't work, try the second; in my case, the first set of instructions wasn't too clear, since you didn't know how long to push the various buttons for. My minivan only has one motorized door, on the rear passenger side, so this one was all I needed for my situation.
