We converted our pool to a pond and needed a reliable pump to filter and aerate it. Our pump runs submerged with a prefilter system that keeps debris out of it. Although our pond, being a natural pond, is pretty green but not slimy. We installed the pump on May of 22' and now, a year later, it is still pumping as new. We have ran the pump 24/7-365 since we received it. We only shut it off to make sure its clean, and it has always been. We also purchased the 1700 gph pump to pump pond water out, through a garden hose, to our landscape plants. It performs well too. Overall, these pumps are as well made as most. Their price is not too bad, and they are as reliable as any pump I've owned. I am happy with my purchase... Oh, to have included two barbed adaptors would be nice, but since the connections to the pump are NPT, any commonly available NPT barb or other fitting will attach well. On my 1700 pump I found an 1xMGHT adapter and my garden hose connects directly, thus securely. Having regular threaded hubs gives more versatility to these pumps, that not all pump do...
