At first, it seems very smooth but the plastic around the tips break very quickly and easily and don't stay closed making it almost impossible to write with. Also the tip dries out very quickly so the ink stops coming out even though its more than half full. I have thrown out so many of these pens because the ink stopped coming out and the tips broke and won't stay firm. I normally love this brand so I don't even think this is the original pens.
