The curved blade and pulling motion allow the almost effortless cutting action.The machete is sometimes overkill in cutting power and effort when it comes to green branches and the sharpness of the machete may not be enough for clean cuts.Clippers will do the job at trimming green branches but the motion of gripping and regripping can grow tiresome after hours of work.A very sharp sickle will cut with a slight flick of the wrist and the lightweight sickle is very efficient.The sickle arrives very sharp and is ready to cut. The handle and blade are of good quality and the blade is sharpened with a chisel grind, meaning only one side is sharpened.
