To program a remote transmitter and receiver: 1. Turn the power on for the wire receiver. 2. Press the programming button on the receiver until the indicator light begins to flash slowly. 3. Release the programming button and press ON button, then OFF button on your transmitter. 4. The light stops flashing and keeps on indicating the programming has already been set successfully. We would also like to remind you that when programming the wall switch with the receiver, there is no need to cancel the programming each time. All previous programming will be deleted when you reprogram the switch, or if you do not wish to change the current pairing settings, you can simply skip the cancellation step. By law, it's supposed to. And, there is a functioning switch at the top. But the switch at the bottom did not function, for a simple reason...they never ran any wires to that switch! The house was built in 2006, and somehow the inspectors never caught that problem, and no one fixed itIt's almost impossible to run actual wires now without major sheetrock removal.This wireless unit solved the problem for me, and works fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bad Connection- Great Customer Service *by on Reviewed in the United States November 24, 2022* Easy install and small enough unit it will fit in most fixtures. The issue I had and what seems like many people had was the connection. Many people seemed to have issues turning it on. I had issues turning it off myself. I had to mount my switch upside down. It flat out refused to turn off when I mounted it right side up. I managed a marginally higher success rate by holding the switch instead of pressing it a few dozen times. If you’re dead set on an item like this I would only recommend it in a room with little use so you don’t frustrate yourself everyday. This was an initial review of the product and I have not been using it very long. If it gets better or worse I will update my review but as of now I feel like this item was not worth the trouble. I would have rather paid $50 for a version that was more robust in feeling, cleaner looking, slimmer on the switch portion, and had a 90% success rate in the operation. Lastly, a version that uses a AAA battery would be much better. Not many people stock the weird type that is in this switch (the code is escaping me at the moment), this makes it frustrating when the battery dies because I will likely have to go to the store not the closet.UPDATEThe seller reached out to me, they believed the item demonstrated in the video was faulty. They sent me a new one completely free of charge. I wired it up and had the same result. They told me it works best if there is a direct line of sight from the switch to the box, things like metal impede the signal greatly. So I moved the box outside of the fixture and I had much better results. However, it looks unsightly and I will be placing the box back in the fixture. Overall decent product for the price especially if you are willing to mount it in a line of sight.
