The heating process would denature or stop the function of most if not all the enzymes. All enzymes function at specific ranges of temperatures so some may? survive but most would have lost their usefulness. Generally 118 degrees is considered the temperature that would denature or kill most enzymes. The is some difference between wet and dry heating allowing higher temperatures but either way there would be damage. Freezing is also not recommended as some enzymes will stop functioning at too low temperatures. **Q: Has anyone used dr. goodpet digestive enzymes or have you? i've been using that for over a year now but looking to switch to this. how does it compare** A: They both offer similar digestive enzyme profiles but the NaurVet item has other added ingredients for gut health like prebiotics and probiotics. **Q: should this have a seal on the inside? something is weird after my 2nd purchase of the bigger size container, not working as well.** A: I just ordered this product and received it 7/19/2019. There was no seal on the product. A single piece of tape was on the lid, holding it in place on the container. The packaging for this powder product is messy. The lid screws on, but there's no gasket feature on the lid, so the powder leaks out. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great supplement for my Frenchie- not just because of the label *by on Reviewed in the United States January 21, 2023* ***update 7/18/23- I have been purchasing this consistently to use for my Frenchie and still a great product. However I received 2 shipments where the chews had clumped together. This most recent one resulted in many turning to dust in the container. I contacted the company directly and the customer service is amazing!!! Apparently this lot was older and probably in a hot warehouse. Unfortunately they don’t sell directly so I’ll have to discuss this with Amazon. However they are sending me a replacement and they keep records of these things so if you have an issue, I definitely recommend at least reporting it to them for tracking. Extremely impressed with the customer service from NaturVet and the product. ***So this product wasn’t a cure all that fixed my Frenchie’s digestive issues on their own. They are pretty comprehensive with their ingredients and even though they aren’t cheap and he needs them with every meal, they definitely aid his digestion and are a part of the combination that has led to a healthy stool and digestive processes for him. The will continue to be part of his daily routine. It means I have to give up a few things of my own, but seeing him have a easier time with gastric emptying is worth the price. I can’t say much about improving skin or itchiness, but I’m a licensed veterinary technician and the ingredients are primarily geared toward digestion. That alone is fully worthwhile considering the problems he was having when I adopted him. Even my picky older chihuahua, who eats nothing chewable (except a specific notoriously tasty heartworm preventative) - will want one of these too when I bring the bottle out. I take 4 of these and crumble them in their beef and rice that I cook for them and mix it up and then add their kibble which is Hollistic dog food only. Dr. Gary's German Shepard kibble. The enzymes and probiotics in this product help dogs digest their food and keep their guts healthy. My dogs were having diaherra and vomiting every so often because GERMAN Shepards have issues with digestion. Ever since they have had this, they have been doing awesome and if I don't have it for a day, their stools get runny. It's an amazing product with no side effects and if your dog has gut issues and auto immune issues, this can help to get them back to eating better and having solid stools. Just make sure that you are feeding your dog a good food, even if that means making it yourself. I belong to a site on Facebook called Raw feeding for dogs, I only wish I would have started this with mine when they were puppies. Dogs THRIVE on this type of feeding. Dogs are predators naturally, coming from Wolves, they thrive on this diet. Their coats are amazing, they do not end up with Auto Immune issues such as dermatitus. They don't develop an OVERGROWTH OF YEAST in their guts which is a cause of continuos itching and ear infections. People will have a dog that digs itself raw, itching, this is an overgrowth of YEAST in the gut NOT ALLERGIES AS A VET WOULD LIKE YOU TO BELIEVE,, DOGS DO NOT GET ALLERGIES!!!!!!
