Seemed small from the outside until I opened it up. It's very deep and wider on the inside. Love that it has an inside pocket with zipper and pencil holders in the inside and other slots to hold smaller items/toys. Large enough to hold books and a change of clothes for school. Side pockets can fit reasonable sized bottle.
