A few days later, I had a small rip in it. I tried Gorilla Glue to fix it because I really liked this seat, but that didn't work. Since then, I've ordered and returned four toilet seats because I hated all of them. And unlike this one, none would firmly stay in place with a non-electric bidet attachment on it. The hinges on this one make it permanently stay in one spot. I couldn't remember where I bought this and ended up with a hard, black seat. Although I like my new one because of the quiet-close feature, I'm adding this one to my Wish List again because 1.5 years later, I had zero complaints. If the rip hadn't shown up, I'd still have this. July 31, 2021: I had a wooden black seat for the longest time, but it was the hard kind that would loudly slap when I closed it. After many times re-tightening it and it coming back loose, I gave up and it just wiggles around. About a year later, after having one certain guest (he is not heavy but perhaps sloppy?), the seat started ripping a little, and the rip just got bigger and bigger. I now have another rip in the front, and another on the other side. I'm at 2.5 years now.
