It reaches Lipo battery, motor and other components. I had to unplug the rubber plug to drain water after each drive. I dried the boat each time. I inspected boat body but nothing obvious. I even put plastic bag around both top covers to insure no water leaks from there. Yet, water is found inside with each drive. Cooling water tubes dont leak air when I blow air while closing the other end with my finger. I cant say it is safe to drive the boat in this condition. It is a high risk to LiPo batter, transmission device and motor. I will ask a question for the supplier to advise what can be done to fix it. Meanwhile, ill keep my review. I will update it if I got a positive response. The boat speed and handling is great. I would give it five stars rating if water leak issue is resolved. Review: Got this in April, 2025 and put it in the water within 2 hours. It's a fun boat, and stock right of the box it hit 23 MPH for me (I added a GPS odometer inside the inside cabin to verify). I've yet to adjust the trim tabs to see if I can gain a few more MPH, and I've got another propeller to try to gain a few more MPH. DO NOT DO THIS: I was able to mount a GoPro 10 to the top of this boat and got some cool shots, which I've included. Again, DO NOT DO THIS. I didn't have any issues, other than the boat running MUCH slower, but I expected that. And, the boat's self righting feature WORKED with the GoPro installed on the top of the boat. Since this is a VERY popular RC boat, you can purchase additional drive shafts, inside and outside cabins and extra batteries.
