Review: I think Milwaukee hit it out of the park with their line of Fuel battery operated tools. The only thing I do not like about this drill is that the clutch is the electronic kind. I much prefer the mechanical one that makes ratcheting noises, which isn't affected by the kinetic mass of the spinning motor when the fastener stops. Other than that, I do pretty much everything with this little thing. I haven't driven a half inch bit into concrete yet, but it would probably do it. I wouldn't use it for great big industrial duty, but pretty much anything in the house / garage can be done with this thing. 1 1/2" spade bits through joists, no problem. 3/8 headed lag bolts, no problem... but an impact is just better suited for that kind of duty. It fits the hand well, doesn't weigh a ton, has plenty of battery options, doesn't feel like it is going to snap in half... I just don't have much negative to say about it. One thing that sucks about it... the forward/reverse switch. I like to be able to switch from forward to reverse with one hand... the thumb goes for reverse, and the index finger for forward. Well, switching to forward doesn't go so well, not because the switch is crappy, but pushing it until it is flush with your index finger when its in your right hand just... doesn't go so well. So, I cut a chunk of rubber from somewhere and glued it onto the switch so it projects out 1/8" further. Its a bit hillbilly, but took care of that problem. This may or may not be an issue for other people, but it drove me bananas. Because, you know... you're always holding something in your other hand when you need to switch from forward to reverse. I don't need to drill through anything. Just removing and tightening screws. I work in appliance repair.** A: Then what you want is the 12volt impact driver. Not this. The fuel version of the impact driver has a 1 and 2 power select. Power 1 would be good for taking screws out. Power 2 would be good for removal of motor mounts and brackets with secured with bolts. **Q: This is drill or impac** A: It is both a drill and an impact. A very high quality product. I am very happy with the purchase a good value for the money. **Q: Does this drill have a locking mechanism to stop the rotation and only vibrate?** A: Nope...only to vibrate AND drill for concrete drilling...there is an M18 SDS hammer drill that has a hammer function w/o rotating... #2715-22DE ...expensive though. **Q: Will this work with ice auger? Like the Kdrills or Eskimo 8 inch augers?** A: No! The Kdrill website has a list of what drills work with the kdrill and this one is not on the list.
