## Description

A wider ball of foot pad (aka metatarsal pad or metatarsal cookie) to help alleviate pressure across the entire ball of the foot. Also great for helping to prevent the foot from slidng forward in shoes. Self-adhesive backing allows the pad to stay securely in place. The Skived metatarsal pads are approximately 2.25 inches at their widest and 2.75 inches in length. Skived Metatarsal pads are used for a variety of foot problems like pain in the ball of the fee, neuromas, calluses, IPks, Painful scars, and lack of a plantar fat pad. Skived Metatarsal pads splay and offload the metatarsal heads. This reduces the pressure across the ball of the foot and in the nerves between the metatarsal heads. The skived metatarsal pad has little less bulk making a little better tolerated while the non-skived cut offers a little more effect. Proper placement of the pad is critical to achieve the therapeutic relief from any of the above conditions. Skived metatarsal pads can be placed in the insole, under the insole or directly on the foot.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are they reusable, or will I need to use a new pads every day?**
A: If you plan to stick them directly on the bottom of your foot then you will need to replace them every few days.  I purchased a Pedag Holiday shoe insert and then stuck the pad to it.  Placed the insert in each on of my shoes.  When changing shoes you can simply switch between pairs.

**Q: Is there an instruction about an exact location to put ?**
A: Before sticking them permanently to the shoe, put some double sided tape on the back of the pads and place them in your shoe.  Then wear a bit to test the position. This way you can readjust as needed until they feel right. Then mark the correct placement, peal the backing and stick to the shoes.

A: What's wrong with your product?

**Q: How do you know if you need the 1/4” or the 1/8”?**
A: From my own experience - the 1/4 inch was better. You are looking to offload pressure to the ball of your foot. 1/8 inch is not very thick....and the 1/4 inch does eventually squish down a bit
