The pegs are quite tight when removing, but it keeps them from falling out freely, and definitely keeps my fingers busy. The spinning is buttery smooth and immaculate. If it feels too heavy at first, you can remove the pegs altogether, or take a couple out at a time and balance them evenly to lighten it as a spinner (depends on the weight you prefer). It would make a perfect desk fidget if you work around people, because it makes virtually no noise while spinning.
