I took a look at the images and thought to myself, "I think I can pull that off. It shouldn't be too bright." Ooooo boy was I wrong. My first application I went with a full 60 seconds. Had my lips looking like they'd been painted neon peony pink. And the color didn't start to fade for a full 6 hours or so. Which is great staying power. I just wish that I hadn't been over confident on the application. When I apply the stain for 15 or so seconds it turns out like the photo attached. Still bright but not quite neon bright. And I can handle that for sure! Now the stain itself is not hydrating. You need to top it with some chapstick or a nice lip day mask. But it does have great pigmentation and staying power. I ordered a lighter shade to try out for my wedding. I think you'd probably want to reapply about 4 hours in to get a full 8 hour pigmented look. But I feel like that's great staying power personally. And it doesn't transfer to anything like most lip products do. Which is a huge win. Pros: highly pigmented (if you're translucent like me, don't be me, and shoot for a shorter first application), transfer proof, waterproof, quick application, does not come off Cons: does not come off.
