It arrived well packaged and in great condition. First thing I did was to test it for leaks as some buyers have mentioned. No leak at all. The cup is very lightweight, and the natural horn is a beautiful mix of dark and light colors. It does have a slight livestock scent but that is to be expected as it is real horn. This should go away after a while. I wouldn’t use the cup for at least a week after opening it. Let it air, and then wash throughly a few times. I love that the handle is open so you can hook it on a belt. Also, this thing is large, a true tankard. It is an extremely handsome piece. I purchased mine with fulfillment by desertcart so the quality is great so far. I have yet to use it but will update this review should anything change. You can’t use this drinking horn for a hot drink as I’d hoped, but it seems absolutely perfect for mead, ale or, water. The grip isn’t the most comfortable, especially when filled with liquid, but this is a Viking drinking horn, Vikings wouldn’t care and neither should you. My girlfriend and my LARP buddy were impressed by this drinking horn. Can’t wait for the reactions at the LARP. It is easy to use and clean. It was a great way to honor his Viking ancestry and it is so fun. It works great and with all three items is was a great value too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, great service! *by V***A on October 26, 2017* Such a great product and great customer service. I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend who is a game of thrones fan and he loved it! It does smell funky but that is just because it is actual horn, not plastic. Totally worth it in my opinion, plus the smell dies down after a couple times use. And the customer service is amazing. I believe it was a month later I contacted them because my boyfriend had offhandedly told me it was leaking. He then realized it had a crack and I sent them a photo and let them know. They then sent me a new one in no time and I was able to keep the old one. So now we have two great cups, though the one with the crack is more decorative or we just drink out of it quickly haha. ## Frequently Bought Together - Trondebal Viking Drinking Horn Mug, 15-20 Oz Natural Ox Horn Cup & Cofee Stein | Cool Unique Gift for Men and Women, Home Decor Accessories | Shot Glasses for Beer, Ale, Whiskey, Mead - Jerky Gift Basket for Men - 26pc Jerky Variety Pack of Beef, Pork, Turkey, & Ham Snack Sticks - High Protein Healthy Snack - Unique Gift for Men - ROCOCO Viking Cleaver Knife Butcher Meat Cutting Boning Knife Hand Forged Chinese Kitchen Axe with Sheath Home Outdoor BBQ Camping Chirstmas Birthday Chirstmas Mother Father Gift Men --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/30339672-viking-drinking-horn-tankard-15-20-oz-ox-horn-beer](https://www.desertcart.us/products/30339672-viking-drinking-horn-tankard-15-20-oz-ox-horn-beer) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
