Is this the right sealer for that?** A: This will work well on slate. **Q: I just applied my first coat on my marble backsplash. On the instructions it says, “If necessary, repeat treatment”. How long do I wait before the 2nd** A: The Tenax website (tenax4you.com) does not mention applying a second coat. It does say to allow the sealer to dry for 24 hours to reach maximum protection. I have applied a second coat to my granite counters, floor tile grout and also travertine backsplash. In all cases, I applied the second coat one day after the first coat.
