So at least in our experience, the smell seems way more toxic than it actually is. Or possibly it's coming from a reaction with something gross it's removing from the pipes in your tub. Either that or you got a bad batch? All I know is, Mom with her super-sniffer swears by it and won't use anything else anymore. **Q: Is this used only when changing the water?** A: Yes! Just before you change your water, run a dose (amount depends on size of spa) through the filter with all jets running. Then empty and clean the spa, before adding water. **Q: Hi!
