I ordered them separately because I wanted the dark finish mechanism (to match my patio door) without a keyed lock (there is a set with Handle included, in chrome). I want to tell you that this middle aged+ 'handy girl' took out the old mechanism, and installed the new one including lining up the jamb keeper and figuring out which length latch was required for my old door punch out. When it came time to affix the handle I called my husband for help as four hands are better than two at that point. No more than 30 minutes from start to finish -- one of those DIY projects that actually went without a hitch. One of the screws was a tight fit so I dry fit everything before assembly which saved a little aggravation. Nice quality material, I was pleasantly surprised! Mine did. *by P***1 on Reviewed in the United States on 9 February 2021* Rated 4 instead of 5 because 1. It's not quite as sturdy as the original equipment. 2. Going to have to do something tricky and shim the keeper because the hook will not engage. That's the only thing that kept me from 5 stars. It's appears that it will do the job when I'm done with it. Needs a little modification for my application. May slide right in for others. I had to find shorter screws, because the screws that came with the lock were for thicker doors.
