I am sure it will remove oil from a waste oil pan if no debris is in the old oil . The gear lube is a lot thicker than the oil . Hope this helps . **Q: What is the plastic gasket filter for?** A: If you are talking about the intake filter , it is mounted on the intake side of your line .(Goes into the line that you use on the intake side of the pump ) it will filter large sediment or stuff that will clog up pump during use . I used it for emptying the chain case gear lube on a Bobcat skid steer to retrieve the brake parts that had came loose and fell into the case . worked perfectly for that . **Q: Hi, is that pump suitable for antifreeze? Whats the pressure?** A: Yes it can be used for antifreeze. These pumps are good for small jobs. I’ve used them for antifreeze, oil and fuel from large generators. The pump will need to be stopped to cool, after 15-20 mins. If I’m pumping anti freeze or water through the pump, I’ll run some oil through afterwards to keep it lubed. These pumps are ok, they just need to be maintained. The fittings that come with the pump are quite large. I had to use a 1/2 in hose barb for my needs.
