The gloves have a strong grip, which really helps with catching and controlling the ball, especially for beginners learning proper technique. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beware of Sizing!

They are good gloves, but definitely size up several sizes! My 10 year old got them for Christmas (size 5, which says it's ages 9-12) and they were ridiculously too small for him. We then purchased size 8 (so, several sizes larger) and they are a reasonable size for him, but definitely not too big. Otherwise they are pretty comfortable and have a satisfying amount of grip to hold on to the ball.
