It can help both men and women's hair. I absolutely love it. I hope this helps your decision. **Q: What plants are used for the plastic? Which is just the handle correct? And how do you dispose when the brush is not longer good?** A: Not really sure my answer will help. The brush is called "bamboo" so I'm guessing it's mixed with bamboo wood possibly. And when it's ready to be thrown out, it suppose it could be recycled. **Q: Are the bristles also eco friendly? “Vegan boar bristle” leads me to believe they’re non-recyclable plastic** A: I’ve already threw the box out, but I don’t think it’s real boar hairs.
