Review: Works (and tastes) better than Xanax! - For a brief background, I was previously formally diagnosed with "bi-polar, cyclothymia, anxiety-NOS, GAD, SAD (seasonal affective AND social anxiety disorders), severe chronic depression, OCD, ADHD, PTSD and 'high-functioning' Asperger's/autism." I have been prescribed nearly every pharmaceutical for anxiety relief over 10 years: Ativan, Xanax and BusPar to name a few examples (as well as mood stabilizers, anti-depressants, plus) and NEVER noticed that they worked in a positive way that they were intended to, or even touched the crippling anxiety I had about my past life situations like living with abusive people, chronic stress, losing job, getting kicked out at 17, etc. (We all know they're not supposed to be prescribed for that, but what do you do when you were a kid and it was the only choice...) I noticed severely negative effects from them or nothing, as if I took a placebo. I've usually found myself to be more sensitive than others to drugs like pharmaceuticals and caffeine, as well as other herbal supplements. I'm pleased to report that I've successfully gotten off the cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs and haven't taken them for years. I was afraid of becoming dependent on them like I had witnessed with my parents. I watched them take 15-20 pills, shots and creams a day up until the day they died. Understandably, I've gained a skeptical perspective after witnessing that and many other horrible personal experiences with allopathic medicine. Currently, to sum it up, I'm dealing with a long-term, high-stress string of events involving the death of my parents with estranged friends and relatives stirring up trouble in court, so if you can imagine, it's taken a toll on my ability to get through an average day defending against them while extending already complicated grief over the sudden death of my parents two years ago. --Here's where I talk about the product-- With all of that said, I can say this combination of herbs has had a noticeable lessening effect on my levels of high anxiety, such as before court dates and lawyer appointments. I have experience with a few of the herbs by themselves, but not in this combination until now. Usually when dealing with stress like this, I am extremely tense; jaw clenched, shaking, sweating, cold hands, no appetite, racing mind, stuck in my head, severe social anxiety to the point where I am selectively mute, but when I've taken this, it helps take the edge off. I wouldn't say it completely silences the alarm bells in my body, but takes it down to a tolerable level where I don't fear I'm going to pass out when I stand. When I'm having a particularly rough average day, one capsule is a good amount to help me do what I need to get done. Two caps works well on critical days, like appointments and errands where I have to do a lot of socializing or thinking about traumatic events. Sometimes I take one before bed and one in the morning because I have night terrors and insomnia from many things, including PTSD, fearing for my constitutional/human rights and also this hellish court battle. I've already gone through the whole bottle in a month, but unlike others, I DID notice its effect almost immediately after taking it (within an hour, after it absorbed of course). I don't have anything to complain about, haven't noticed any unwanted "side-effects". Usually the only "negative" of an herbal product is a bad taste or aftertaste, which some have complained about, as I see in a few past reviews. It does come off as a little plastic-y, but that may be the material they used for the gelatin capsule. It might taste different if removed from the caps mixed in with food, but I don't care enough to bother. In my opinion, the temporary plastic-y burp is better than dissolving Xanax, yuck! Unless you're into the taste of earwax melting on your tongue, hah. All in all, I plan to buy another bottle to have in hand for current and future high-stress events. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stress support blend of herbs and vitamins

I have anxiety. When I get really stressed it is really hard for me to function well and to focus. I discovered adaptogenic herbs a couple of years ago and I consider Rhodiola Rosea to be a miracle herb. It has made a huge difference in my life. This blend from Zhou has Rhodiola and some other great ingredients (B vitamins--also great for stress! Ashwagandha--another adaptogenic herb, etc.--read the label! :) ) I just bought a second bottle after making it most of the way thru my first one and deciding I really feel like the blend is helping me. I am really stressed right now because I am at the end of a semester of college and I am behind. Before taking this blend I was having racing thoughts and could not focus at all, this is calming me down and letting me get some work done.
