I needed clamps for the threaded section of a barbell that is slightly less that 1 inch, and these did the job perfectly. They are tighter than another brand I also bought. If your bar is slightly over 1 inch thick, these might be too tight.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be very careful using these clamps

The clamps were great at first. I use a weight set with screw on clamps that were a pain to take off and on, so I started looking for a solution when I found these. I’ve had the clamps maybe 3 months but today as I was doing a shoulder warm up with only 5lbs of weight on each side of my dumbbell, one of the weights came flying off. For anyone considering buying these I would be extremely careful. They seem to do well on my bench press where the bar is taking the brunt of the weight, but if you’re thinking of doing hammer curls or any variant of exercise where the weights depend solely on the clamp to support it, I’d highly caution against it.
