A: The compression is not actually a 'compression' type.  It's very loose fitting and probably would ride up, but I haven't run with them. 
I do like the shorts for the gym for all other activities

A: Large. I’m a 34” and the mediums fit perfect

**Q: i like my shorts to come above my knee like a 5" or 7" inseam. i wanted to make sure that  these that way?**

However, once I got used to it, I found them to be very comfortable. The built-in compression shorts offer a nice, supportive fit without being too tight.Functionality:These shorts are great for various workouts. The design allows for a full range of motion, and the material is breathable, keeping me cool during intense exercise sessions. They stay in place well, reducing the need for constant adjustments.Compression Performance:While the compression shorts are comfortable, they aren't as tight as some other options out there. This is generally fine, but it does cause the phone pocket to sag a bit, which can be a minor inconvenience during workouts.Versatility:Despite the slight issue with the phone pocket, these shorts are versatile and perform well in different types of workouts, from running to weightlifting. I like these shorts for the most part. They are very comfortable, a good length, and good quality. They fit pretty big so I would go down a size from what you would normally wear. One thing I don’t like is how high the pocket is on the spandex part of the shorts for your phone and my phone is pretty loose when it’s in there so there is a lot of movement. I am 6’4 325 and I ordered a 3XL which I returned for a 2xl and actually could go down to a 1xl. Pockets are a good depth and items don’t fall out. Overall I like them.
