Once it heats up it probably is, but I take a little silicone brush and I rub a little melted butter on the top and bottom before I pour the a batter in just in case and it comes out so easy and perfect. One pouch of Martha White muffin mix makes about 6-7 waffles. We loved that. I have also seen people buy a can of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and they put one cinnamon roll in it. Smash it down and it makes a very delicious cinnamon roll. Waffle. I have even poured an egg in it with a little diced bell peppers, onions and spinach and it was delicious. There are so many different things you can do. The cooking time is very brief. You were really love it if you bought one. It's so much quicker than trying to make pancakes and even waffles.
