Review: Ignore the negative reviews, this worked perfectly. - I bought this product on a whim despite some of the bad reviews as I’ve usually had pretty good luck with GE electronic products. My set up was a two-story house that I had installed a big digital antenna in. Our goal with this product was to get local area Houston stations that we struggle to get a good signal for, given we live a good bit out of the metroplex (40+ miles from the signal towers). I had a single TV connected to the antenna on the first floor with a split about 1/3 of the way down to the wall at a junction box. Keep in mind, there was a lot of coaxial cable running through the wall down to the tv. Before installation I would get one of the four major stations (fox) but not CBS NBC or ABC. And the Fox signal was spotty at best. After installing this booster, I now get all of the station pretty clearly when before they did not work at all. Side note, I did install the booster closer to the antenna, which was the recommendation of both the instructions in the reviews. It did exactly what I wanted to do and 100% worth the cost.
Review: Antes de comprar toma en cuenta esto - Antes que nada es importante aclarar, este aparato mejora la calidad de los canales que recibe tu antena. Hice muchas pruebas y te dejo mis comentarios, tengo una antena aérea Steren extreme hasta el techo en México, no la levante más que 5 metros desde mi terraza, esto mejora mi recepción ya que cualquier antena interna me daba 4 a 7 canales. Con la aérea detecta hasta 40. Sin embargo, había más de 10 canales que se veían un poco pero cada 30 segundos se cortaba la señal y volvía o se quedaba cuadriculada por segundos. Es ahí donde entra este producto, conectado a la TV recibiendo desde la antena es donde mejor funciona, probé sin antena y no toma ningún canal, con antena pero desconectado y ahí reduce la recepción, con antena pero conectada y así es como los 10 canales que estaban con pausa o errores mejoraron y ya podía verlos sin pausas. Cuando llueve aún pueden ocurrir pero de los demás canales que ya se veían bien la mejora es que cuando llueve tienen no tienen falla con lluvia leve y algunas con lluvia fuerte. En resumen, no es para detectar más canales, es para mejorar la señal de los canales que detecta tu antena, si no tienes antena interna o externa no va a funcionar. Y si tu antena no detecta los canales tampoco te va a detectar más, primero instala una antena y juega con la posición que te detecte la mayor cantidad de canales y luego si hay canales con fallas como las que te comento entonces adquiere este aparato para mejorarlos. Por cierto el alambre de la conexión a TV en mi caso fue muy grueso y para no dañar la entrada de TV tuve que ponerle un pedacito de cable con un conector hembra a hembra para que no tuviera problemas

**Q: most questions are about the antenna but, how well does the booster work - how many miles does it give, is it better than standard antenna boosters?**
A: This boosts whatever your antenna is receiving.  Go to Antennaweb.org and look up stations in your area and the type of antenna you will need to pick them up.  Once you have an appropriately sized antenna, this takes care of signal loss from the antenna to the TV through the cable.  It won't boost what your antenna picks up, it restores what your cable robs.

**Q: how long is the power cord**

**Q: will this help me get channels that my other tv get? I have an outside antenna. The 3channels got blurry on both tvs and now 1 tv gets the 3 channels**
A: This is an amplifier you attach to your antenna that you've attached to your tv to get digital channels. It does amplify any signal you already receive from your antenna. Have no way of knowing if you will get more channels. I am less than 50 miles from farthest tv station transmitter and I receive 38. Without amplifier, it was 4.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great amplifier for IEM transmitters

I just ran some tests for transmitting UHF audio signal the 250 feet I need for a drive-in show coming up. In-ear monitor transmitters use the same frequency range as DTV broadcasts, in this case 540-660MHz. With a $380 Shure directional antenna with built-in amplifier (and the $740 combiner needed to power the thing), I got about 100'. With this amp, even though you need adapters on the input and output, it got 360' through the same antenna in passive mode. FYI you can use TV splitters in reverse to combine multiple transmitter antenna lines into one, then use this amplifier and a good antenna and you're outperforming pro gear that costs over 10x more. This is made to operate 24/7 for years. IEM transmitters only operate while you're set up for a show, and it's dirt cheap to carry spares.
