Technically it's electric... and has live fire but they don't need to know that. Keep in mind you can open/close the vent for direct flame (be careful with oil droppings) or classic pellet grill smoking and cooking. I love this thing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Little smoker that provides big taste. *by A***R on May 3, 2026* This little smoker is awesome. A true tailgater smoker. It gives a better smoke flavor than my larger home smoker.(Maybe because of the smaller grill area and total smoke box size). I had to cut a 20lb brisket in half and smoke each 10lb half individually. The brisket turned out great. The pellet hopper has many hours of smoking capability with temperature at 225°.
