It has a mesh floor like the sides. I put a rug on the inside as the cats are not used to the feel of the mesh but they love this. I use it all the time for both my cats outside. I do have one cat that has claws that could damage it but has not done anything so far. Set it up in about 5 minutes. Only going by the illustrations on inside of bag. Not great instructions but I did it. Lol. I bought for my balcony. My cat wasn't overly excited bit I'm sure a few more times in it will get her used to it. Was up for about 2 hrs and a storm was rolling in do prayed it wasn't too difficult to take down snd it wasn't bad at all. The only thing that sucks is for the price. $159 plus $58 for import fees (yikes) They certainly could have provided a lot better quality carrying bag. Not good at all. A duffle type bag would have been much nicer. This bag won't last long at all. Besides the bag it seems like nice quality.
