I wasn't really sure what to expect just based on the picture.I will have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I took the strap out of the box. First (you guitar players know what I'm talking about - that sweet aroma of a nice leather strap!). I really liked the appearance of the rich brown leather (with very nice double stitching) comprising the outer layer. The width and padding of the under side of the strap appeared to have comfort written all over it. (Even the outside edges were padded.)Each strap hole appeared to be very securely made. The ease of adjustability for strap length with eight (8) different settings looked to be very well designed.I have several guitars (acoustic & electric solid body). The guitar I had in mind for this strap would be my Epiphone Les Paul Standard, so I guess I'd better uncase my Les Paul and see how the strap performs.Trying the strap:Remember my mention of the strap holes? Well each one did attach securely to the strap locks.Adjustability? Just a couple of adjustments with the easy to adjust strap (with no metal buckle that could scratch your guitar) and I had the length that was very comfortable for playing this guitar.Comfort?Well, I'll have to say my initial observation proved to be correct. As you know, the Les Paul is not a very light guitar but this strap surely seemed to handle and distribute the weight very well.Recommendation?First let my say that I did receive a small discount when I purchased this guitar strap (with the promise I would give a "fair" and "unbiased" review). It has a great padding underneath the leather making it very comfortable. I usually play with a levy strap but wanted to try this out for the price. I was very impressed with the stitching and the padding.The soldier Brown Cow leather strap smelled really good, felt really good and looks pretty slick. I am looking forward to wearing it in as it looks pretty polished but overtime I think its going to break in nicely and feel and look even better.I would recommend this strap, its a fraction of the cost of most leather straps and looks and feels just as nice.The strap button slit is a perfect cut and wraps around the button nicely. It is also very adjustable with two options on the tail end of the strap.I got this strap at a small discount for an honest review. I am already planning on getting another one for my new strat. Leather straps I have used in the past have been hard; single layered and offered no padding. Nylon straps I’ve used were scratchy and didn't have the dressed stylish look that this strap has.
