Prego doesn't do that—I love that it is thick and never runny! I have been eating Prego since I was a kid. I was born in 1980, and growing up, I tried a lot of different sauces at friends' houses, but Prego was my mom's go-to and always my favorite. It tastes exactly the same today as it did when my mom made it. ​For my family, I always use a ratio of 1 3-lb jar of sauce, 1 lb of meat, and 1 lb of cooked noodles. It seems to be absolutely perfect for our tastes. When I make it, I always season my ground beef with herbs and garlic as it cooks, drain the grease well, and then add the sauce to let it simmer for a while. Sometimes I use a little bit of water to get that last bit of sauce out of the jar, letting it simmer low and slow to thicken back down. If I ever need to stretch the sauce a bit, I'll sometimes add just half a small can of Italian herb tomato paste with a touch of water, and it still tastes great! ​I also use this for a quick pizza sauce, which is really nice as well. We always serve our spaghetti with a side salad and garlic breadsticks or cheesy garlic bread. I just love this sauce!
