Review: Must have spice blend for chicken, pork, and beef! - Was skeptical at first purchasing a spice blend like this, as generally I keep it simple with SPG and just a couple other spices (I have tried various other spice blends but never stuck with them). I purchased this blend after watching a few videos on different methods of smoking on a weber. Since July of last year, I have bought 3 of the 11.5oz versions. This has been the best spice blend I have bought for chicken, and easily top 5 for pork and beef (mainly chops and steaks). This pairs extremely well with either charcoal or lump, while also amazing in the oven or pan fried. ## Features - Bright Citrus & Mediterranean Flavor: Big Poppa’s Desert Gold chicken seasoning blends garlic, onion, bell pepper, lemon, honey powder, and spices into a vibrant, citrus-forward mix that brings a touch of Mediterranean sunshine to every meal - Crafted for Chicken & Fish, Versatile on More: Designed to enhance white meats like chicken, fish, and pork, this award-winning citrus BBQ seasoning also adds refreshing flavor to roasted vegetables, seafood, and even pasta or salads - Premium Ingredients, Gluten-Free Quality: Crafted with clean, premium spices and natural flavors, MSG, gluten free seasoning, and artificial additives, Desert Gold delivers pure, balanced flavor that elevates any dish without compromise - Competition Proven & Chef Trusted: A staple in championship kitchens and trusted by BJ’s Brewhouse restaurants, this inspired-Mediterranean seasoning blend helps home cooks and pros achieve crave-worthy flavor with ease - Convenient Shaker for Everyday Cooking: Packed in a handy 11.5 oz shaker, Desert Gold seasoning for meats is easy to sprinkle, store, and use anytime; great for quick weeknight meals, weekend grilling, or your next BBQ competition ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B014DWA546 | | ASIN | B014DWA546 | | Best Sellers Rank | #72,465 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #258 in Barbecue Seasonings | | Brand Name | Big Poppa Smokers | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (63) | | Flavor | Desert Gold | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Form | Powder | | Item Package Weight | 0.45 Kilograms | | Item Weight | 11.5 Ounces | | Item model number | 700BPS | | Manufacturer | Big Poppa Smokers | | Manufacturer | Big Poppa Smokers | | Model Number | 700BPS | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Package Dimensions | 5.94 x 2.56 x 2.48 inches; 11.5 ounces | | Part Number | 700BPS | | Specialty | Gluten Free | | Unit Count | 11.5 Ounce | | Units | 11.5 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Big Poppa Smokers - **Item Form:** Powder - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Specialty:** Gluten Free - **Unit Count:** 11.5 Ounce ## Images ![Big Poppa’s Desert Gold Seasoning – Mediterranean Spice Blend (11.5 Oz) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71y6Txol8jL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taste so good *by T***N on April 10, 2024* Seasoning is great, I use on brussel sprouts, cauliflower and other veggies. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have spice blend for chicken, pork, and beef! *by N***K on March 4, 2024* Was skeptical at first purchasing a spice blend like this, as generally I keep it simple with SPG and just a couple other spices (I have tried various other spice blends but never stuck with them).
