The label material has a water-fast inkjet coating that is designed to repel water and it has a strong, permanent adhesive. That being said, I am not sure that I would recommend it for the uses you have mentioned. The label material itself will likely hold up to the conditions, but I am not sure how the ink from your inkjet printer will hold up when exposed to sunlight & salt water. You may see the colors fade quickly when exposed to UV light & salt water.
