Function: Ratchet style refers to the ridged end of each pedal strap that is for use with the pedal's built in clasp. Pedal straps have slots at one end for attachment to the pedals. The slots on one side are 5/8 inch in length and 1/4 inch in width. Please check your bike pedals to see that they fit tight and securely. Fit for: These exercise bike pedal straps were designed to fit on most exercise bikes and most foot type. These straps are durable and tear resistance for it is made from rubber material. How to use: 1. Start on the inside of the pedal (nearest the pedal shaft) by placing the slotted hole in the strap at the bottom of the tab and pulling the strap up and into place. 2. Then with the tab on the outside of the pedal, start at the bottom and push the strap up and around the tab into place. Review: Very disappointed - To be quite honest we were very disappointed when the straps arrived they were broken and cracked. I have used desertcart on other occasions without any problem but had to reorder elsewhere as we were afraid they would arrive damaged again.

The bike while older still worked well enough and I figured I'd take a gamble versus spending a couple hundred for an entirely new bike. Well the gamble paid off and the straps fit the bike great and have restored it's usability with an added bonus in that I got 4 straps so I still have a set if any become worn or broken in the future for another replacement.

To be quite honest we were very disappointed when the straps arrived they were broken and cracked. I have used Amazon on other occasions without any problem but had to reorder elsewhere as we were afraid they would arrive damaged again.

Great product! Has multiple adjustment sizes. It would be nice if they were labeled "left" and "right," but trial and error will fix that.
