Was thinking of putting in water bowl...thanks!** A: I’ve used this product on many cats, and none of them seem to notice an unpleasant taste or smell. My cats share water bowls/fountains, so I’d have no way to be sure that each one was getting the proper dose by adding it to their water. So I came up with my own dosing system that’s very easy and accurate. First, I put a single layer of their favorite treats on a plate, then put one drop of the medicine on each treat. In a couple of hours, the medicine has soaked in and dried up. The directions say to give 5 drops 3 times per day, so I put 5 treats into one of those little paper portion cups I got at a restaurant supply store, then stack three of the cups together, and I’ve got one day’s worth for one cat. I’ve never tried feeding the treats when they’re still wet and slightly soggy from the medicine, but only because I don’t know if they’d eat a soggy treat, not because I think they won’t taste good to the animal. **Q: How long does this take to see results after starting drops?** A: My cat has had feline leukemia for over 9 years AND then he developed the herpes virus symptoms - sneezing a lot, nasal drainage, etc. I started this 3x a day at first and saw results pretty fast - much less drainage and less sneezing - he seems to feel better when he could breathe better. Now I keep him on twice a day 10 gtts in about 2 cc water - mix - draw up in syring and slowly put into side of his mouth. It does taste TERRIBLE if try it by self - he foamed and ran away - but in water he doesn't notice it at all. I plan to keep him on this for the rest of his life.
