I am an avid bird watcher but getting up in years and didn't like hauling my Leica's out there. Bird Watcher's digest rated these the top high end small binocs. I bought them because they have the widest field of vision of that class which really helps pick up birds. As to clear image, these are incredible. We compared them against Maven C.2 7x28mm Swarovski Optik CL Curio 7x21 The Mavens were 1/3 the price and less than 1/3 the quality. The Swavorski are smaller and really the ultimate if you're prioritizing always having binoculars with you. However, for a more serious birder the Swavorskis aren't easy enough to use. The Zeiss Victory Pocket has earned the victory name plate.
