Review: Beautiful new blue Sarb !!! - My twin brother convinced me to get this watch and at the price point at the time so glad I did because price is now well over $100 than what I paid. I was convinced I wasn’t going to like this Seiko dress watch . My collection is all Seiko and Orient diver watches . Once the watch arrived and I unboxed and took one look at the beautiful blue gorgeous dial I was smitten and mesmerized by it . My son who was with me even liked it . It’s got a great quality fit and finish and feel to the watch . The bracelet is nice and feels substantial. The clasp is a milled clasp but a push button deployment that I’m trying to get use to . It’s not like my other Seiko’s that have the fold over safety clasp . The one thing I thought was a little different with the bracelet was that instead of a pin and collar system it has pin and springs . The spring is seated in the middle part of the link like a collar would be . I’ve sized many bracelets friction pin , pin and collar , but never a pin and spring system. It’s a little tricky but the watch did come with a sizing tool with instructions. After a couple try’s I figured it out and was a breeze . This Seiko watch also has a cyclops over the date window. I know many are not a fan of the date magnifier but I actually think it gives the watch a rich and elegant look . All in all very satisfied with my purchase and have been wearing it every day since it’s arrived. A classy beautiful Seiko automatic dress watch and definitely recommend.
Review: Beautiful Watch! - I bought my first Seiko watch in 1974 when I was a cadet at West Point. I still have that watch and it still works! Over the years, I have collected a number of watches from various companies ranging from TAG HEUER and Bulova to Burett, Luminox, Tissot, Timex and Seiko. I favor automatics, and already owned a nice Seiko 5, so when I saw this new addition to the Seiko line, I made the decision to add it to my collection and I am glad that I did. This watch is incredibly beautiful, far more so than it should be at this price point. I have only had it for a few days, but so far it is dead on accurate. I love the long hands and the simplicity of the face. This is a dress watch that hits well above its pay grade. Seiko reliability is legendary, and their styles are really appealing. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this brand and this model, SZSB014.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why does my watch randomly stop? It works when I put it on and have to manually adjust the time. Is that behavior normal?**
A: The movement in this watch gets its energy from the movement of the wearer, if you move your arm the watch winds. Fully wound this movement can run for around 40 hours. If your activity level is low your arm movements may not be enough to wind the watch fully, so you may want to manually wind it every day.

The interesting part of a watch like this is that it keeps time by using gears and springs, not electronics. A quartz watch is more accurate than the most expensive mechanical watch, gaining or losing at most one second per day.

If the watch has stopped first wind it manually, then reset the time and date, and you should be good to go. These watches cannot be overwound, so give it about 40 turns.

**Q: Why does the dial only read "made in"? Are these not made in Japan?**
A: I had the same concern, especially for the green dial where only "Made in" appears in most photos (1st, 4th and 5th). It arrived with the full phrase "Made in Japan" in tact, both on the bottom of the dial and on the rim around the transparent back, i.e. everything OK (sold and shipped by amazon.com).

**Q: Can you swim, j work on boats the watch will always get wet.**
A: According to most standard descriptions of water resistance ratings, with 10bar of water resistance, it should be just fine for swimming and even snorkeling. The water resistance rating is based on the pressure induced by depth causing water to seep in past the rubber o-rings. The more pressure it's rated for (i.e. 10 bar) the deeper it can go, and for a longer time spent immersed in fluid. Many "dive" watches are rated to 20bar (200 meters or 600 feet) and that seems like an impossible depth you'll never reach but if you keep the watch submerged long enough there is a chance of intrusion. 10 bar (100 meters / 300 feet) therefore, should be more than adequate for most underwater excursions for a limited amount of time.

Another factor I often consider is that watches rated for higher pressures/depths are built a little tougher (and are a bit larger as a result) so it's worth considering if you're looking for a watch that will withstand the rigors of daily wear for work on a boat where you might accidentally hit it against, say, stainless steel, railings, and other metal objects. I'd look for brushed metal cases and sapphire crystal for a tough tool watch. Ymmv.

**Q: El 012 y 015 la esfera es negra mate? Cual de los dos es más recomendable? Hay algún brazalete alternativo que le sirva? Gracias**
A: Cualquiera de los dos son excelentes, no te arrepentirás. Y si puedes buscarle correrás alternativas en sus medidas, pero la verdad, prefiero no cambiarselas para mantener su diseño y elegancia original

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Updated— For a seiko automatic it’s running too fast
*by M***R on January 1, 2023*

Update: I previously wrote that it was running about 30s per day fast. Maybe it just needed time to break in but after wearing on wrist for about 2 weeks, it is now about only +\- 5-10s per day. It’s been very close to actual time (I’ve been tracking against atomic clock). Even now, it’s only 4s faster than atomic clock as I write this. Great watch and a great daily wear. Watch was brand new and it is running fast about 30sec a day. 4 days later after synching with iPhone time and it is 2 minutes ahead. Beautiful watch but accuracy is not quite strong suit on this one. But for the price, looks great and wears easy with most everything from casual to business casual. For 2bills you can’t go wrong, but 4-5 might be too much to shell out considering the accuracy on this one. Also, kind of noisy and clanky when you shake around. But don’t notice unless you are trying to shake around. All around beautiful watch but could be more accurate.
