It is authentic 100% cashmere, extremely soft. I am larger I wear a size 18 and even though this does not offer different sizes I can still wear it. The back drape on me drops just at the top of my thighs. For a non plus size person you could expect your drape to be a little lower most likely. I do still get a lot of nice drape to the fabric, so someone who maybe bigger than I am could also use it as well.The way this is designed you can wear it 4 different ways, drape to the front, back or side as well as tying into a scarf to use as more of a fashion accessory than a poncho. It is not cut like a standard 'poncho' so that you can wear it multiple ways (it does not have the opening in the center, it is a more biased off center opening). Black works well for me, it creates a slimming effect and would pair well and match any outfit.TIP: Never wash cashmere in your regular washing machine or dryer! You can spot clean, or clean by hand but the best way to care for 100% cashmere is dry cleaning.Good value, I highly recommend for anyone looking for a cashmere poncho, (just be sure you can wash by hand or have it dry cleaned so you don't ruin it) This is very giftable.
