FYI - One kit did our glass patio doors, front door full length outer glass door, four double hung windows, a smaller kitchen window, the back door half window and a small window in the bathroom. We ended up buying a second kit for the last remaining double hung windows. The cutting blade is sharp and does a great job just hold firmly and flat to glass. You will probably have to cut each corner as it tends to leave a very small uncut piece. The window squeegee does a pretty good job just make sure you spray down the outside before attempting. One last thing is we have white window muntins between the glass panes and it made them look black on the inside. I think it looks good. Good luck.

**Q: can i use standard window cleaner instead of the Gila application solution?**
A: The kit is nice, but for extra solution or saving money, you can easily make your own. I successfully use *distilled or R/O* water (not tap - that has mineral in it that can leave deposits/film behind and be trapped) and i've used as little as 2 drops of soap and I like to add a dash or 2 of rubbing alcohol into it as well but maybe not necessary. This makes the slippery surface needed to slide the material around for positioning.

**Q: Can this solution be used to apply other window films that aren't the Gila brand?**
A: Yes, pls choose the static cling window film, not with glue, i bought a privacy window film from this seller:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EJG55KKworked very well with this product.

A: Yes it is too much & I don't know what to do with the rest of it. Does it clean glass/mirrors wood tile or what? It's 16 fl. oz.(473 ml) And you just need as much as you would use Windex to clean glass/mirrors. The instructions on the Film explains everything you need and it doesn't say anything about having to buy this product. I love the Film though. It's very pretty but can get bubbles after some time so it needs to be adjusted with or without the film tool kit.

**Q: Can you use this on a garage door window (plexiglass)?**
A: Yes, it works on plexiglass and acrylic products. I used a similar static cling film on my garage door windows and it worked flawlessly. I highly recommend these static films for privacy, light diffusion and glare reduction, along with the overall look and ease of use.

No directions included, they tell you to watch videos instead. I hate video instructions because things like accents or script errors cause to have to watch multiple times. Clear written directions would be a welcome addition to this kit. I'll admit I bought another kit along with this one because of the complaints about the trim tool in other reviews. I didn't need all the cutting tools in the other kit because this trim tool works flawless. Hold it straight flush to the edge and it leaves a tiny gap like recommended. It adds a little support to the film so it doesn't want to pull back while cutting like happens with a hobby knife. The squirt bottle is nice, but it's just soap and deionized water. This will be enough to do a couple windows but if you need more just Dawn and distilled water will do. Use way more than you think will be necessary, this helps push any trapped dirt out. If you notice some dirt, peel back film and squirt more soapy water in, it'll come out. Over all, worth the price. Got on Amazon because local hardware store was out of them.
